15/01/2020 — Phuc Duy Filling Station
Here's another one from the archives: In 2016 my friends at @vn-a assigned me to photograph their architecture project Phuc Duy Filling Station in #Vietnam's Dak Nong Province.
Situated in a rather sparsely populated area in the countryside the station marks a hub at an interstate road. Bus passengers, individual travellers and long-haul truckers stop not only for a refill, but also for food or rest. Some even stay overnight.
I got on the night bus in #Saigon around midnight and arrived at the station before dawn. Then I spent a whole day observing and documenting the life at the station in all its technical and social facets. And at the end the station team invited me for dinner.
What a wonderful day!
