29/06/2020 — Schinkelplatz
In spring I was hired to shoot this row of high-standard residential and commercial buildings for Berlin architects @HemprichTophof. They form the western front of a new built block at #Schinkelplatz right in the centre of #historic Berlin.
Located at Niederlagstraße the five-storey buildings face the Friedrichswerder Church of Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Truth be told, this #urban juxtaposition is rather cramped. The apartments are as little as only ten meters away from its historical neighbor.
Still the architects knew how to masterfully make a virtue of this burden. They placed the windows in a way so they would provide a framework for particularly beautiful details of the church #facade.
