50 FOR BAD BERLIN was a great success! Taking place at Roter Saal der Bauakademie the exhibition featured works by artists and architects who support the goals of the “Flussbad Berlin” project. The show opening attracted plenty of visitors and was a highlight of Berlin Art Week, with over 1,100 visitors in just four days.
The auction, under the patronage of German actress Nicolette Krebitz, was well attended, too. Auctioneer Elena Sánchez y Lorbach from the Grisebach auction house auctioned off 48 of 55 works and achieved total proceeds of around EUR 80,000. My work Am Kupfergraben (2018) alone achieved a hammer price of EUR 900. The almost 200 bidders included many cultural professionals, including artists, actors, directors and publishers.

The proceeds will be used to develop an app that will provide information about the water quality of the Spree Canal in the future. This is an important step in reclaiming water as a common good for the city and improving the quality of life for its bathing population.
