Grundtvigs Kirke
Copenhagen
Denmark

The extraordinary building of Grundtvigs Kirke is a key work of Nordic Expressionism; it was designed by P.V. Jensen-Klint starting in the 1920s and completed by Kaare Klint in 1940.

In my photo series, I explore the atmospheric interplay of light and space inside the church, the striking façade, and, in detail, the impressively masterful use of a simple building material – the brick.
